Herbal Resources
Mostly Medicinals
Laura cultivates amazing medicinal plants, from natives like Fireweed, to Chinese herbs like Codonopsis, to cult classics such as White Sage. Find her "groovy grown" flora in local haunts, or contact her for direct orders.

The Herb Shoppe
Not only does the Herb Shoppe carry organic, wildcrafted, and sustainable herbal medicines; J.J. and her friendly staff are always there to answer questions and dream up concoctions. Check out their free lectures by local herbalists every Wednesday night!

Breitenbush Herbal Conference
This annual gathering of herbalists and naturopaths features incredible teachers, bountiful community, and the natural wonders of Breitenbush Hot Springs. The 2008 Conference will be held September 4-7; register early to reserve your space!

Corpus Botanicus
This temporary healing garden/art installation, located in the South Waterfront neighborhood of Portland, was designed by Missy Rohs of Arctos and South Waterfront's Artist-in-Residence, Linda K. Johnson. Visit to see beautiful medicinals organized by body system and labelled with common and Latin names.

Stuff We Love
Bark
Who could ask for anything more? Bark fights to protect the Mt. Hood National Forest from logging and other destructive practices. If that doesn't keep herbalism alive, then we don't know what does. Join Bark on free hikes every second Sunday of the month and find out for yourself how great they are!
