This introductory, hands-on class with Gradey will get you the tools you need to get going on your medicinal garden! We will cover six medicinal plants in depth, from seed to harvest, focusing on everything you need to know from medicinal use to garden design. These easy-to-grow medicinals are specially selected to cover the basic at-home medicinal needs. We will be tasting samples, getting your hands dirty, and sharing laughs. The plants we are working with are Elecampane, Marshmallow, Skullcap, Meadowsweet, Calendula, and Echinacea.
Class will be held at the instructor’s residence in SE Portland. Class cost is $70-$55, sliding scale. Included in class cost are plant starts for all of the medicinals that we cover (value $30) to fill out your healing garden! After class, participants are invited to stick around for tea, talk gardening, and shop Medicine Garden’s nursery inventory with discounts for class participants.
